Giant Wreath!

After changing the lights out on my giant wreath 3 times we finally got it ready for display. Andy came up with the idea of hanging it on the top of our house. Thank goodness we have life insurance for him as I was pretty sure he was going to fall a half a dozen times. Doesn't it look spectacular??

Christmas Time 2008!

Laura and Drew helped decorate their first Christmas tree this year and we only broke two ornaments in the process! Their favorite thing to do is to turn the lights off and on by stepping on the switch on the extenstion cord. I'm just waiting for that to break any day now.

During a recent diaper change, Laura somehow broke loose and started running up and down the hall in her birthday suit. I think she heard about how Uncle Ben did this when he was about the same age.

Laura has it pretty tough. Even though she is older than Drew (by 2 minutes), Drew likes to pick on her whenever he gets the chance. He's really just playing, but like a big dog that thinks he's a lapdog, Drew doesn't know his own size.

Laura and Drew love to dance to the music that their little car plays. In this video Laura is wearing her new sunglasses. Kacy bought them for Laura in the airport on their way back from DC and Laura refuses to take them off. We even had to put her to bed one night with them on!

Laura and Drew got their first set of golf clubs yesterday when we went to the OC Fair. Here is a video of them playing golf. Well, actually it's more like a combination of hockey and fencing but we're working on that.

During our trip to Marco Island we saw that Livingston's was on special at the Winn Dixie, so we all put ice in our beers and passed along a collective "hi" to Mommom.

Halloween preview...Drew plays Frankenstein

During our vacation to Marco Island, Drew's few steps turned into full blown walking. He walked with this arms out in front of him like Frankenstein. So for the whole trip Alex and Ava kept calling him Frankenstein and running away.

Once Laura saw her brother walking, she couldn't wait to try it out herself. The official stat book will record that Laura started walking 2 days after Drew. Laura started crawling first, so I guess this makes them even.

Father's Day at the Park

For Father's Day we took a trip to a local park. Drew had never gone down the enclosed slide. You can see from his facial expression that he liked it. The worst part was having the leave the slide to go home. You can only imagine...

Drew learned how to find his tummy earlier this week, but when we asked him to do if for the camera he found Laura's instead.

Drew takes his first steps!!!

Watch the video of Drew taking his first steps! Drew has been standing up for several weeks and walking as long as he has something to hold on to. But today he finally was able to walk on his own!

Laura hasn't figured this out yet, but we're sure she won't be far behind. Check back next week for a new video.

Daddy finally figured out how to upload videos!!!

It only took 4-weeks, 300 hours, two free web-sites, 4 wine club membeships and one night of sleeping on the couch to figure out how to post high-quality videos on our blog. It got so rough that we had to get helmets for Drew and Laura.
